Hovkial
Proctors have been strict about hand gestures. They have asked for the hands to be kept visible and on the desk. Playing with your fingers may raise suspicions.
That was my worry. Thank you very much Hovkial. What should I do then? Do we have time to speak with the proctor before the exam? I found that was so useful for me to use the hands but if I am going to have an issue I will try to do something else...
My suggestion is do not use your hands or fingers to count or play with answer choices. Hands are often used for cheating and I cannot see any proctor allowing these types of actions. Even if one protcor does not say anything to you, the next one may have a problem. You risk getting your exam cancelled without warning.
Start practicing with other methods. Writing choices is one, but it is slow. Try to memorize some choices and eliminate others in your mind. You will need to try out different things.
