Hi elle089,

The 700 CAT result appears to line-up with a post that you made in Mid-February (which was over 2.5 months ago). After seeing this result, did you take the Official GMAT at any time since then? If you did, then how did you score?

There are a variety of factors that can impact your performance on a practice CAT/mock, including the type of Exam that you're using, the time of day that you start the Exam, the testing conditions, how well-rested you are, etc. Beyond all of those individual details though, we need to better define how you've been studying over the last 2.5 months. GMAT skills tend to 'fade' over time - so if your studies since mid-February have been inconsistent, then THAT might also help to explain a drop in your overall Score.

Before I can offer you any additional advice, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied in total? Over the last 2.5 months, how many hours have you typically studied each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What "brands" of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School? What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi elle089,

I'm happy to provide some advice but would first like to get some more information regarding your situation with the GMAT. Once you respond to the questions already asked, I can provide some advice.
