Hi RahulSha,

First off, a 690/Q49 is a fantastic Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they do not use an applicant's IR score when evaluating an application, so you likely have nothing to be concerned about in that regard. However, if you're interested in what a specific School/Program thinks about the IR score, then you should research that School directly (you might also consider contacting the School to ask).

Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

Hi RahulSha,

I think 710 is the better of the two scores. Let us know how things go.

I recently wrote the online GMAT and scored a 690 with Q49, V35 and IR7. I am planning to go for another attempt after about a month and will try to score 710+. I am wondering that if I score something around 710 with an IR score of 4 or 5 (which I have been scoring on most of the mocks) then which score would be considered better, a 690 with IR 7 or a 710 with IR 5.
Also, I wanted to understand from the experts that is my score good enough to be considered for a healthcare MBA in the top B schools.

Hi RahulSha

Thanks for posting. You should go with your score of 710+, when you do achieve it. As this is in the future, you can work harder and try and get a higher IR score too (no reason to assume you would only be able to get an IR 5 in a future attempt).

Whether your score would be suitable for healthcare MBA programs depends on the programs you are targeting, and other aspects of your profile such as work experience, extra-curriculars, grades, and other factors. Please post more details to enable that evaluation.
