I was asked to reschedule my gmat

Question

hi guys, I was supposed to take my online GMAT on June 20th, but because I had uploaded the wrong photo ID, I was asked to re-upload it and reschedule the exam. Ive emailed gmat support but I guess it takes a while for them to respond? Can anyone advise me on this? Because I want to be able to take the test and I don't want my 250$ to go to waste because of such a small issue

I think they won’t charge you for the reschedule as your test didn’t begin. Still I’d suggest contact them whatever the problem has occurred.

Hi Sabi17,

If you were specifically asked to re-upload your ID and choose a new Test Date for your Exam, then it stands to reason that you should be able to do so without losing that original $250. When you received that message to reload/reschedule, was there any additional information included (such as a 'deadline' by which you had to complete those tasks or any information about rescheduling fees, etc.)?

No the proctor didnt give me any helpful guidance. She just told me to contact gmac via email and I've just been waiting on that

Hi Sabi17,

If it was the Proctor who told you to re-upload your ID and reschedule, then were you given a "case number" (or some other identifying number to refer back to) so that you would not be seen as just a 'random' customer service email when you contacted GMAC? If you were - and you've already sent in an email - then unfortunately you will likely just have to wait for a response. We've heard from a lot of frustrated Test-takers (since customer service response time from GMAC hasn't been particularly good), so to speed all of this up, you might have to put in some additional time attempting to call/email various departments until this is all resolved.

Hey everyone thanks for your responses.After emailing every possible customer service email,they got back to me and gave me a coupon to reschedule my test so I didn't end up having to pay again.
