Hi all,
I am giving my GMAT 1st attempt on 7 th of august. I have been preparing for GMAT for last one month now. My study plan was to give 10 days to quant section, 15 days to verbal section , and remaining 5 days for mock tests. I work at a corporate firm ,So my hours dedicated to study were limited to 5 hours a day.
For quant , I have gone through Manhattan strategy guides and have solved all the questions from GMAT official guide. I have also solved Advanced Quant by Manhattan.
For verbal, I have studied Manhattan strategy guides thoroughly. And I am confident that I have mastered the concepts . I have solved questions from GMAT official guide. Accuracy was 87% for SC, 78% for CR , and 70% for RC.
So far I have solved 5 mock tests. My scores for 5 mock tests are as follow:
1.Kaplan : Quant-51 Verbal-34
2.Gmatclub I : Quant-50 Verbal-32
3.Gmatclub II : Quant-51 Verbal-34
4. Official mock test I : Quant-51 Verbal-36
5.Official mock test II : Quant-51 Verbal-29
My aim is to score 730+. But despite of all efforts I can't improve my verbal score. I have mastered all the concepts and I seem to solve most of the questions correctly when I review my wrong attempts after the test. In verbal section , I am satisfied with my SC performance.
I don't have any idea how to tackle this issue regarding RC and SC. Practicing more questions just seems to be waste of time as I can solve the most of the wrong attempts while reviewing.
Please share your thoughts on how I can tackle this issue? I don't plan to appear for GMAT again. Hence this is my first and the last attempt as I want to get into university next year only and need to follow application deadlines. I want to maximize my verbal score in coming 7 days. Also kindly share the GMAT verbal split score for 730+ score given that quant score is 51.
Even a small suggestion/help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
KM
