Urgent asking for opinions from you guys!
I am sure many of you guys have received this email from GMAC announcing that:
"Beginning October 20, 2021, the number of times you can take the GMAT™ exam delivered online will increase.
Online exam attempts will continue to count toward your overall GMAT™ exam attempt limits – 5 in a rolling 12-month period and 8 in a lifetime. You can take all of your exam attempts at a test center or online, or a combination of both – the choice is yours! "
My mess is I am having a test center GMAT this Saturday Oct 9 and with all my current preparation so far, I am 100% sure I would go for the Online format instead.
Can anyone know if they say ""Beginning October 20, 2021", is it possible for me to cancel the Oct 9 and re-register for a the next one in online format?
Or do I need to wait till after Oct 20 for registration?
I have run out 2 times for online test already thats why test center was my only option.
I have called Call center in both Asia-Pacific line and India Line but they cant support anything and just refer me to email to customer service

Hi. My guess is that you may have to wait until the 20th to book your appointment… which means the soonest you can take it will be the 21st….
Add the same time, you should be able to try and book a third appointment if you have taken the test twice already. Previously it would error out and not let you do it or rather not let you proceed.

There is currently a 16-day waiting period is the number of calendar days between appointments taken in one 'format' of the GMAT (re: two appointments at Test Centers or two appointments in the At-home format). Scheduling a GMAT at a Test Facility and scheduling an At-home appointment have NO impact on one another though; you could technically take one of each on the same day - although I would NOT recommend that you do that. By extension, cancelling an October 9th Exam at a Test Center would have no impact on how you might schedule an At-home GMAT on October 20th (or later).
