Hi , I appeared for GMAT in july 2021 and scored a 500 with V19 and Q41 as far as i remember. However in the official mock tests i was scoring exact 600 with a score around Q45 and V26 , and after spending 8 months in gmat my score for verbal was not improving. Weakness:- bad in CR AND RC , while good in SC . but faced time issues as was unable to complete verbal in 1 hour so had to guess the last 7-8 question. Now i gave a mock test for GRE and scored 160 in quants and 138 in verbal since have less vocab range , but i believe that i will be good at cramming 1000+ words as compared to working on CR or RC which are a hard nut for me to crack. So should i make this switch ?

Hi SD22A,
Since many Schools accept both the GMAT and the GRE as part of the application process, there's a certain logic in taking whichever Exam would give you the better chance to score at a higher level. In the broader sense, you're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

It is important to know that CR and RC is also tested on the GRE, so you may find that you run into similar issues on the GRE that you are currently facing on the GMAT. However, to truly see how you may fair on the GRE, why don’t you take an official GRE practice exam?
