Hi guys ..
I am newbie here and could definitely use some advice from the pros out there. I recently took the GMAT and scored a low 660 (41 Quant and 39 Verbal). I plan to retake the GMAT again in the first week of January 07. I aim to apply to R2 of Yale and NYU and definitely need an admit next year!!! So I hope my second attempt will atleast push my GMAT to the 700+ range.
Here's what I have practiced so far:
- OG 11
- OG 11 Extra review for Math
- Nova Prep
- GMAT Prep software.
I took a beating in Quant. The actual questions in the test were a lot harder than what I had practiced. I spent a lot of time figuring out the questions ..which led me to guess on many of them in the interest of time. Also, I am very poor at mental arithmetic ..I spent too much time calculating on paper!!
Anyway, any tips on what's the best strategy to pursue in the next 3 weeks.
What materials should I focus on for Quant?
- Kaplan?
- GMAT Club challenges?
-
Manhattan Prep?
Also, what are the best timed tests out there? (other than GMATPrep ..I scored 680 and 710 on that ..but ended up getting 660 on the real thing)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
