In order to understand the situation, I have 2 questions:
> Do both of u recently experiment a kind of lost in concentration/energy/motivation during the second half of the Verbal section?
> Do you practice the test with the AWA section for all of your tests?

TBH, in my first 700 scored exam, I did only 1 of the essay. And I get alot of distractions during my verbal part. Noisy kids etc...I felt overwhelmed, tense.. maybe that was my first time trying out a full-length CAT

In my 2nd exam, I did both essay, feeling good all the way. No distractions this time. I guess I didn't focus hard enough in my Verbal part. End up with a shocking 600

Pls see my thread , i list my everything there

I think you're right fig... It's all about keeping the stamina...

It just threw me off that I scored 70 points lower!! That's a huge margin! It means, I can even go down to 590! Ack! Please say it isn't so...

Preparing for this exam is the toughest part of the application... I think... :-) Not exactly done with my essays yet. But it's actually amazing also how you also actually KNOW when you're ready. Lately, I've been studying really seriously. Even on weekdays, i get to put in a good 4-5 hours. It's like the GMAT is my dayjob now and work is just something else I do. Quite funny really. I go to work, get everything done as fast as I can, then go home and study. Everyone in the office is so perplexed with my behavior lately.

I really hope it all pays off... My ass is expanding from sittingdown all the time! Hahaha.

Doing a mock exam again tomorrow... Hope i get high 700s.... :)

Now, how to keep that stamina going till the last second so no question is wasted... Most of the suggestions I'm getting are to take sweets, or protein bars during the break. Also to practice witht he AWAs so you simulate the full length of the exam.

For the past exams that I've been practicing on, I do take a granola bar during the breaks. I also practice with AWAs. But by the end of the verbal, i'm itching for the test to end ASAP. I try to stay focused, but based on my errors, i do make 3-5 mistakes towards the end. Could it be because the questions are also harder already towards the end?

Sheesh... Anyway, will try to keep focused...
