Brush up my math foundations with index cards

Question

Would you say it makes sense to create index cards which contain different math formulas and rules and study them on Anki?
Or would you rather say I will learn the different formulas and rules while solving problems so I don't need the index cards?
I just took a practice test and realized that I definitely need to brush up my math skills.

I took copious notes for every day of studying… these were notes rather than index cards.

I used index cards for studying vocabulary since I was an international applicant.

I would say it would be valuable to have either index cards or notes or something. There’s definitely quite a bit of room for documenting, and preserving a number of small rules or regulations that you run across while studying or solving questions or taking tests. You improve your score by noticing, and remembering as many of these little rules and tricks as you can, and the index cards should help you do that better.

You can definitely use them for math formulas if you need to refresh some of them. You can use flashcards apps or just use physical ones depending on your preference / style.

However, I would also recommend actually making notes if you want to maximize your improvement and studying. Making notes takes time and that forces you to move a little slower and memorize things quite a bit better.
