I used it as my main source (it seems i'm the only one, though, who did that...) and together with OG 11 I got 730. I recommend it as a good book.

I agree the verbal is pretty good, although a little unusual in the way they structure the questions.

I found Kaplan GMAT 800 to be the toughest of all books I worked with. It is a very good practice for anyone aiming into high 700s. If you're just going for a 650, this book might be quite a torture.

yes, i found the verbal excellent as well. highly recommend to people aiming for 700+. it really clarified concepts for me, especially SC. the style of the book is conducive to learning as it explains a principle, then illustrates with a few examples and then drills in with many problems..

quantitative was practically no use..

I've been using -
Kaplan Online Course ($599)
Princeton Review DVD (not a lot, mostly tests)
OG 11
Kaplan 800

Kaplan 800 is fantastic for SC and CR.
I wan't impressed by PS or DS, but these are very good in the Online course.

I bought Kaplan's online quiz (200$) . Found it very useful for mastering timing and pace. Also it clearly pointed my weak sides. Personally I would not spend more than 300$ for online courses.

if you are looking to score 700+ you need to get your hands at this book as this book takes you through some of the toughest questions. It might not be as close to real GMAT but it worth it.

I use it. Thinks its a great book if your trying to improve from the mid 600s to the 700s. The explanaitons are more detailed than in the other books.
