"I have previously subscribed to the TTP plan, but due to health and personal reasons, I was unable to prepare and dedicate time. Now that the GMAT is revising its exam and introducing a new pattern for testing, I am a little nervous. Both my quant and verbal skills need equal amounts of work. With the exclusion of sentence correction and new inclusions such as data insights, multi-source reasoning, and an increased number of IR questions, I am unsure how to proceed. At this moment, I am planning to apply for round 1 for a few colleges in India. However, considering my average test-taking skills, I may need to give multiple attempts. In that case, I feel like I would have spent my time and focus on sections that will be excluded in the new version of the GMAT. I need some clarity on how to prepare and what my contingency plan should be if I am unable to secure a decent score and need to go through a few more rounds of testing. In that scenario, I will have to let go of certain sections and focus more on the new pattern of the exam. Can someone help me address my concerns?" I want to get into prep mode as soon as possible.

Given what GMAC has said, it appears that nothing will be added to the GMAT Focus Edition that does not already exist on the current GMAT. Only some topics, Geometry, SC, and AWA, will be removed.
The IR section is getting longer only because DS is getting moved from Quant to DI. So, there will not really be more IR questions.
So, in preparing for the current GMAT, you will also be preparing for the GMAT Focus Edition.
That said, since the current GMAT will be available for at least around a year from now, you should be fine anyway, since at any point over the next year, you'll be able to take the current version.
