Hi,
I plan to retake my GMAT test in the next 2 months to sort of meet my R2 application deadlines. Currently I'm at 640, and I want a 100pt improvement at least. How do I plan my approach for the next ~50 days or so? Also working in consulting with long hours (almost 60 hrs a week). How do I maximise my efforts? I feel lost here in terms of a structured plan especially since work takes up a chunk of my time, and end up being inconsistent in my study plan.
Understand there shouldn't be a deadline to this, but having deferred my MBA goals from last year to this year, I definitely want to target this year's deadlines.
Any thoughts/advice would be truly appreciated!

See if you can get some time off or a reduced work load during this period. Studying early in the morning may also be better than forcing yourself after work. Might be worth checking a scoring grid to see what section combos may be "easier" for you to target as well. Had a student for example who got a 100 point jump on a retake (650 to 750) in about 30 days but this was mainly due to their V37 going to a V48. Fair to say the scoring on Verbal gets pretty steep at a certain point so a combo you might find better to hit your goal may be a Q49 V42, for example.

Will only most likely get time off closer to when I plan to take the test. Perhaps a week off to take some mocks before going for the real thing.
Have started studying in the mornings before work (~2hrs) but I’m more concerned about how to figure out a plan of action for the next 50 days or so. Do I go topical for quant (which is where I faltered in prev attempt), do I do timed attempts/untimed attempts, practice sets or gmatclub tests etc.
Do I balance quant and verbal in a week, or do one week quant and one week verbal.
It’s these few q’s that are troubling me
