Thanks MartyTargetTestPrep for the prompt response.

But atleast, I will be allowed to murmur or read in a feeble voice right ?
I wouldn't count on that.

You can mouth words, but I doubt you can do anything audible.

Also, just so you're aware, you can't avoid this issue by taking the test at home. Talking or mouthing words is not allowed when you take the GMAT online.

Hi vipkhare,

Unfortunately, you are NOT allowed to read aloud while taking the Official GMAT (whether at a Test Center or through the At-home option). GMAC offers the following advice (from www.mba.com):

"If you know or suspect this is something you’ll need to overcome, try taking some practice exams without reading the questions out loud or silently mouthing to yourself. We recommend doing prep sessions with your laptop video camera on and checking the recording to see if you are moving your lips. With a bit of practice, you can unlearn mouthing the questions. You can do it!"

How have you been scoring on your CATs/mocks? And what is your overall Goal Score?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

The thing is I have a habit of reading the questions a bit loud especially in verbal section.

Consider practicing keeping yourself silent while doing any mocks and questions before your exam. To help keep/remind yourself, perhaps lightly squeezing your thumb, for example, may be helpful.

Hi vipkhare,

Yes, it will be a problem, so I would practice not reading out loud.
