GmatKnightTutor,

Firstly, thank you for your response. I would share my ESR but am a little confused as to how/where to access them. I have only given the two mocks I mentioned and cannot seem to find an option for the ESR on the website.

Thank you for your response. I am definitely looking for a 680 minimum, but yes, I might retake to cross the 700 barrier. To answer the questions you have mentioned:

1.) I have used CATS from 800score after studying for around 2 months, however I would score extremely low-in the 550-600 ranges. A week or so later I gave the official mocks and got a 640, which made me realise that the 800score tests are quite inaccurate. So, I have only taken around 2-3 CATS from 800score and the two free official mocks scoring 640 and 620 respectively. I have purchased practice exams 3 to 6 too and am looking to give them, one each week leading upto the exam.

2.)I am taking the Gmat at a test center. I am just not comfortable with the online whiteboard restrictions and would choose the scratchpad and pen anyday.

3.)I do not have any work commitments, so I can manage around 30-40 hours a week as 5hrs each day.

4.)I am planning on applying for the round 2 deadlines in Jan, but as you mentioned, all of it will depend on if I can get a good Gmat in this first attempt, else I might retake and consider pushing deadlines further.

To improve your quant skills, you may find it helpful to engage in topical quant practice.

For example, let’s say that you want to practice Number Properties. You can do so by answering 50 or more questions just from Number Properties: LCM, GCF, units digit patterns, divisibility, remainders, etc.

After each problem set, thoroughly analyze your incorrect questions. For example, if you got a remainder question wrong, ask yourself why. Did you make a careless mistake? Did you not properly apply the remainder formula? Was there a concept you did not understand in the question?

By carefully analyzing your mistakes, you will be able to fix your weaknesses efficiently and, in turn, improve your GMAT quant skills. Number Properties is just one example; follow this process for all quant topics.

You can also follow a similar approach for verbal.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.
