I had updated my details such as Work-ex and education on the GMAT site 3 months ago, however I noticed that the side bar on the account home page (which displays a summarized view of your profile) has my outdated details. When I click the edit option, it leads me to a page with all my updated details and they are locked for editing.

What should I do? My exam is in 2 days! will these details, along with my scores, be shared with the schools?

I don't think this will be an issue for you. Just focus on taking your GMAT and nothing else at this point.

Email GMAC on this, though in all probability only the updated details will be used.

These details do not matter for your exam. This profiling information is used only for their marketing database so that business schools could look up your candidacy and purchase access to your profile. Accuracy of this information is not verified and does not have to match with you submit to business schools since this is self-reported stuff that could be well outdated. So I would not worry about it really.

What matters is that your name matches your ID and your country is correct but the rest is not going to come to play in admissions or in your exam administration.

If/when you reach out to customer support, consider mentioning how long ago you updated the info.
