I have a hard time trying to understand medium/hard difficulty level passages. Has anyone experienced this? or Do you have any advice? Would practicing easy questions help?

One of the most effective strategies is engaged reading. Instead of just reading the passage as a task, immerse yourself in it. Think of it as a story or a conversation. Ask yourself questions like, "Why is the author telling me this?" or "What's the main point here?" This active engagement helps in retaining and understanding the content better.

Predictive reading is another useful technique. As you read, try to anticipate where the author might be heading with their argument or narrative. By predicting, you're actively processing the information, which makes comprehension easier.

Additionally, nurturing genuine excitement or curiosity about the topic can make a world of difference. It's like reading a book or watching a movie that you're really interested in. You naturally pay more attention, grasp nuances, and remember details. Try to find something intriguing or relatable in every passage, even if it's a topic you'd typically find dry or tedious.

Starting with easier questions or passages might help build confidence, but the real improvement comes from challenging yourself. The more you expose yourself to medium/hard passages, the more comfortable you'll get over time.
