Hi. SC is the easiest section on the verbal too many as it is rule-based and you can Master it methodically.
The focus flavor of the test, gives you points proportionately despite the section and you are correct that there is a lot more quantitative testing than verbal so you could get away with performing on verbal but maxing out the other two sections.
However, the verbal section is a little trickier now that sentence correction is gone and you have only critical reasoning and reading comprehension. I think you’ll just have to take a practice test and see how you feel about it.
PS. The key would be getting extremely good in the quant section and data insights section.

Hi all,
I am pretty strong at Quant (48-50) but very weak in verbal (32-37). I cannot seem to piece together the time management with verbal and frankly do not know how to get above that 38 mark. I have put in a lot of hours here.
Given that I am fairly strong in quant, does it make sense to pivot to the GMAT focus since there are three scored sections (pretty much 2 of which are quant) - instead of the current GMAT being heavily weighted towards Verbal? My thought process is that this further dilutes my weakness in Verbal.
Please let me know your thoughts!
FYI - I think SC is my strongest Verbal section unfortunately.
