Hello guys,
I want to apply for business schools in the US at the end of the year and got a question for you guys, which confuses me a bit. Concrete scenario;
I am taking the GMAT online on 04.12.2023 and let's suppose that got a 610 and am very ambivalent about my score, but I still send it to some schools and apply to those schools with that score. Parallel I think supposedly that taking the exam for a second time in 16 days on 20.12.2023 is a good idea and end up getting a score of 650. What would happen, if I would send the higher new score to the schools I already applied to?
I know it says everywhere that schools consider the highest score, but is this mostly meant for reapplicants, since a year passes when they apply again? Because the keypoint of my question is what happens when the university already met a decision regarding your application in that 16 days or anytime in the time frame between two exam dates? Then you just wasted your score reports on Universities, which already decided about your application.
Or to be on the safe side is it just the best for everyone to send a gmat score when you're absolutely confident about it?
I really appreciate your knowledge guys, thanks a lot!!
