Is GMAT Classic/old format applicable for the 2025 intake fo

I have been preparing for the GMAT exam since a year now. And I feel I'm pretty with the old format. I am pretty confused whether the score will be accepted.

Yes. It will be accepted, or otherwise, you can talk to all those asking if GMAT Focus will be accepted. It seems both groups are needlessly concerned. I can tell you that in a market where applicants shrink every year, only a dumb or suicidal Admissions Director will chose to cut off their largest applicant group.

Schools will certainly accept classic GMAT scores until they expire.

If you think about it, they even accept GRE scores, which are less applicable to business school than classic GMAT scores.

Also, classic GMAT scores will continue to have the indicative value they have now.

Whenever you ultimately take your Official GMAT, that Score result will be valid for 5 years - meaning that if you take the current version of the GMAT in the next 2 months, you will almost certainly be able to use it to apply to Schools for the next several years. The GMAT has gone through some noteworthy changes over the years (for example, in 2012 when IR replaced the Issue Essay and in 2018 when the Exam was shortened and the section-order options were added) - and Official Scores from the 'prior' versions of the Exam (at that time) were still valid for 5 years (and still used by thousands and thousands of Applicants to get into Business School). This is all meant to say that you should have nothing to worry about regarding the use of your upcoming GMAT results for a Test taken in 2023.

Yes, the classic version of the GMAT will still be accepted even after it sunsets in January 2024. Thus, I don't think you have anything to worry about regarding your eventual classic GMAT score.
