Preparing for DATA INSIGHTS by self study?? What resources to use?

Question

I have been preparing for GMAT, done with quant and verbal, and now I'm just practising to improve my score in these sections.

I have left Data Insights for the last. Though in my mocks I have been performing okayish.

Currently, I have GMATclub tests, forum quiz and magoosh premium. Are these resources enough for DI, or should I buy practice questions from mba.com??

Also, I have like 15 days left for my exam. Would it be wise to get a new resource or should I just keep practicing from my current resources?

Do you have any other tips to improve DI? (especially DS and time management)

Fair to say including official questions/official mocks into a prep path is a solid choice. If you're looking for Official DI questions, the Official DI Review 2024-2025 could be worth checking out.

I think few courses right now are able to do an awesome job with DI. If there are any, I am all ears by the way. This is not because the courses are bad but DI is not easily hackable. However, it does help to see how to solve the questions and how to approach them, so if you are going to prep on your own, search the YouTube for DI https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLn5y ... xeRmbjJdlC Otherwise, it is all about taking one type of questions at a time and practicing for a number of days and adjusting, noticing, making mistakes and learning from your mistakes. Try to read explanations offered by others on GMAT Club (also post yours too - posting and actively trying to solve questions is very helpful for improvement), anyway, read through explanations to see if you can solve the questions faster.

Struggling to complete the GMAT Data Insights section within the time limit is a common challenge. One thing I have noticed is that when a student struggles with DI timing, they have not quite completed their quant and verbal prep. Not doing so can really hurt how quickly you can attack DI questions because many of those questions are made up of quant and verbal concepts. Would you say you are in that boat?

In addition, one way to improve each individual DI question type is to engage in topical practice. Doing so lets you pinpoint your weak areas in JUST ONE question type. For example, when practicing TPA questions, perhaps you see a pattern that you struggle with 3-part ratios or weighted averages. If you can find those micro weaknesses, you can fix them in real-time and thus improve your speed and timing in DI questons.

Lastly, prioritize quick decision-making; if a question seems too time-consuming, it’s better to make an educated guess and move on rather than get stuck. Developing this type of decision-making mindset will help you better navigate the section.
