Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here, so I hope this is the right place to seek advice.
I’ve been studying for the GMAT full-time for about two months, aiming for a score between 535-590, which I need to achieve my goal. Initially, I didn’t doubt my ability to hit this target, given the time and effort I’ve been putting into preparation. However, I’ve encountered some challenges along the way.
At first, I focused solely on Official Guide (OG) problems for about 2/3 weeks, but this approach didn’t get me much results—I scored 285 on my first practice test. Realizing I needed a more structured strategy, I subscribed to the TTP course and completed around 60-70% of the material. After that, I took my second practice exam and scored 480, which was incredibly frustrating because I felt I had made significant progress.
I quickly realized my biggest weakness was data analysis, since it was the last part of the course, so I dedicated myself to completing the rest of the TTP course. Over the next month, my practice scores improved slightly—I scored 525 on my third exam. However, my progress since then has been inconsistent. Here’s the breakdown of my recent practice test scores:
* 525 (third exam)
* 515 (fourth exam)
* 535 (fifth exam)
* And today, I hit rock bottom with a 505.
The main issue seems to be verbal, where my scores fluctuate significantly. On some tests, I score as high as 78, while on others, I drop to 73-74, which keeps my overall score inconsistent.
With the actual GMAT just 5 days away, I’m feeling stuck. I plan to take one final practice exam and have been working on verbal questions from the OG book in the meantime. Is this the right approach? At this point, it feels like my score will be just 50/50, and I don’t know what else to adjust to secure at least a 535.
If anyone has advice or tips for stabilizing my verbal score or improving in these last few days, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks

I suggest you take sectional tests or mocks daily until exam day. (you should try to solve mocks on the same time or shift (morning/ afternoon/ evening) when your exam is.)
For improving your verbal you should try Manhattan Prep CR book, it helped me improve my CR a lot.
