Hi all,
I’ve been prepping for the GMAT and find that managing time on Data
Interpretation (DI) questions and Verbal is a real challenge.
DI often feels like it takes more time for a lot of questions.
Verbal questions, especially Critical Reasoning and Reading
Comprehension last few questions, can be tricky to finish without rushing.
I’m looking for practical, battle-tested time management strategies that
helped you:
- Speed up DI interpretation without sacrificing accuracy
- Approach Verbal passages/questions efficiently and confidently
- Avoid getting stuck on tough questions in these sections
Some ideas I’ve tried :
- Setting strict time limits per DI question (like 3 mins max) but have found myself rushing and drop in accuracy
- Skimming reading comprehension passages for main ideas first.
- Using process of elimination quickly on Verbal to save time
- Practicing with official timed sets to build stamina
What worked best for you? Any tweaks or mindset hacks to stay calm and
keep pace under time pressure?
Thanks a lot! Would love to hear your insights and strategies.
