There's already an error-log in the form of a spreadsheet you can find it here https://gmatclub.com/forum/error-log-fo ... 45984.html

Hi, I bought the GMAT Official Guide 2025-2026: Online Question Bank. However, I cannot see the Question ID in the Prep Portal and without a possibility to identify questions it is rather hard to keep an error log. The only option is to use a search option but this is also quite time-consuming to do for every question. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
Thank you in advance!

Thank you so much for your detailed and helpful answer!

Yeah, this is a real frustration with the OG Online Question Bank. GMAC removed individual question IDs from the Prep Portal interface a while back, which makes error logging a pain.

A few workarounds that actually work:

1. Log by first few words. Instead of a question ID, note the first 6-8 words of the question stem in your error log. Something like "A store sells widgets at two prices..." is specific enough to search later. Takes a bit more space but it works.

2. Use GMAT Club's search. Most OG questions are on this forum. Go to the search bar and type the first sentence of the question. You'll almost always find the thread, and then you can bookmark it or note the GMAT Club URL in your error log, which is way more stable than trying to track position numbers.

3. Note the question's topic tag + approximate difficulty + which practice set it appeared in. Like "Overlapping Sets, Hard, Practice Set 3, Q7." Not perfect, but enough to find it when you review.

Honestly for review purposes I found the GMAT Club error log tool more useful than trying to maintain a manual spreadsheet tied to OG question IDs. You can tag questions you get wrong directly from the forum thread and it keeps everything in one place.

The missing IDs are annoying but it's manageable once you build a system around it. The first-few-words approach is what I used throughout my prep and it never failed me.
