Deciding between taking the GMAT Focus Edition at a physical test center or at home online is one of the first major logistical hurdles in prep.
Both environments come with completely different trade-offs that can impact your score on test day:

Did you go with the Test Center or Online? If you’ve tried both, which environment gave you a higher score and better peace of mind?

1. Test Center Experience
- Pros: 100% reliable environment (no risk of home Wi-Fi drops or proctor disconnects), official laminated scratchpad with wet-erase markers, and clear separation between home and test mode.
- Cons: Travel stress on test morning, noise from other test-takers typing/coughing, palm-vein scanning procedures, and rigid break-timer check-ins.
- Pros: Zero commute, testing on your own familiar laptop/keyboard, comfortable room setup, and absolute quiet (if you have a good space).
- Cons: Strict room scanning requirements, physical whiteboard size/marker thickness constraints, and the constant stress of potential technical glitches or proctor interruptions.
