I recently worked on an MBA related essay and found that the difficult part was not coming up with arguments, but deciding which points actually belonged in the final draft. Once I included too many examples, the main idea became less clear, and some paragraphs started repeating the same point.
What helped was separating the main argument from the supporting details. I wrote down the central claim first, listed the strongest evidence underneath it, and then checked whether each paragraph directly supported that claim.
When I needed additional guidance, I looked at resources such as CollegeEssay-org, Grammarly, and the University of Toronto's writing resources. I found it useful to compare how each resource approaches structure, clarity, and revision rather than relying on one source.
For example, someone writing about a career change in an MBA application might want to explain why they are moving into consulting. Instead of repeating that goal, they can connect it to previous experience, relevant skills, and what they hope to gain from an MBA.
Counterarguments are another area where structure matters. Acknowledge the alternative view, but keep the focus on explaining and supporting your own position.

I usually outline first and identify the core message before writing. Then I do a rough draft without overthinking and revise for clarity, repetition, and relevance. Getting feedback at the end also helps catch points I might have overlooked.
