I took the first GMATPrep test 3 weeks ago and scored 690 (Q49, V35). Prior to taking the test I had gone over most of the OG11 questions.

Yesterday, after having studied for 3 weeks, I took one of the 800score-dot-com practise tests and... got 630 (Q39, V39).

I mean, what the hell?

I realize that I was a little bit careless on the quant section but it seems to me that the math on GMATPrep was waaayyy easier than on the 800score exam.

Are those practise exams any good? Which one is the most accurate indicator of how well one would do on the real GMAT?

From everything I have read in the forums, you should not bother with the 800score.com tests. Stick with GMATPrep (nice start, btw) and Princeton Review's tests. Those are the best ones.

Stick with the reputed ones like The Princeton Review. Take others for practice, if not for accurate scores at least you will do some revision and you will get used to the format. For info on GMAT prep goto manya education site

It just got more interesting.

I just finished the free Kaplan Practice Test and got 700 (Q:44, V:39). I am confused. The test was way easier than any other practice test that I have taken so far. I finished Quant in 53min and Verbal in 58min. I got 5 questions wrong on Q and 10 wrong on V (as opposed to 10 wrong on GMATPrep Quant where I got 49, and 15 wrong on GMATPrep Verbal where I got 35).

As for Princeton Review - I am told the Math is nowhere close to the real GMAT.

Any comments?

Based on the Score Estimater on a certain site, I saw that the 800 score tests are supposed to be close to the real tests. So I bought 5 tests from 800 score . com. Till now I had been scoring very well in other tests such as Kaplan (670), Princeton (720), GMATPrep (770). But I found out that I was scoring only 660 around in tests from 800 score . com. The questions in Math are simply too tough given the time constraints. This is my last week. Someone had posted that 800score are a bit easier. I think that person was probably referring to the free ones and not the paid ones. DO NOT BUY 800 SCORE . COM TESTS!!!

Kaplan - tough and not reflective (according to the forum)

Princeton Review - Math super easy, Verbal is somewhat tricky and the answers aren't the best chosen (I disagreed with many)

MGMAT - math super hard, Verbal very similar, test score in the end very similar to final test score

GMATPrep - This is the REAL thing, so it is probably the most accurate. I heard the math isn't as hard as the real thing, but your score will most likely be.

PowerPrep - old GMATPrep by ETS. Math was a lot easier (I finished with 10 minutes to spare and got only 2 wrong - Q50). Verbal was about the same as GMATPrep/OG
