I just retake GMAT and I scored: 400(Q:30, V:16). First time (a month ago), I scored 380 (Q:27, V:16).
Here what I did:
I purchased Manhattan Book for SC, RC and CR and I took six GMAT CAT from
MGMAT and I got 460, 520,520, 480, 510, 530. In ALL of them I got higher points in quantitative than verbal and I also took GMATPrep and scored: 500, 520.
I noticed that the level of difficulty of verbal questions are similar to Kaplan (I did not use Kaplan at all, but I think I should have use it.)
Thus, please let me know what can I do to get improve my score (I am thinking to get private tutor). I am planning to retake the test on September 2007. My goal is to get around 600!
