Hi guys
i just graduated from my bachelors program and i am working now. i plan to continue working for 2 more years (minimum requirement for most b-schools) but i would like to do the GMAT as soon as possible as my brain still is in the "student learning" mode and as GMAT is valid for 5 years.
i have been a member of this forum for a really long time as i have plans to pursue MBA. i have read a lot of posts on this forum dealing with strategies, books and experiences of people regarding GMAT.
but reading so much info has really confused me. i plan to give my GMAT in about 8-12 months time. my aim is to achieve a score between 680-730. but i am confused where i should start from. which books should i buy or which course should i take if any is required.
any help would be highly appreciated. thanks
Gaurav
I think that the best thing to do is to start with
Manhattan GMAT books. If yours mathematics background is not too strong then it would be a good idea to familirize yourself with the very basics of maths.
MGMAT series of books is a good place to start from.
As far as verbal is concerened, buy OG11 (defintetely),
MGMAT SC book and maybe OG for verbal. Powerscore CR bible will be a great asset as well.
I think that the quality of studying is what it matters in the end, not the quantity.
Hope this helps.
