Have been studying for a bit (one month now) and actively so , for the last 2-3 weeks. But , my score hasn't improved a bit 
Took a Kaplan CAT 1 week back - score 550 (Q30/V30)
Took another CAT y'day - score 550 (Q35/V26)
Have completed OG PS/DS sections and completed the MGMAT SC & CR sections and thought I had improved but apparently not ! Its kind of depressing since I've gotten a 640 score the last time when I gave the actual GMAT and this is looking even more bleak ... am even wondering if I should just skip the preparation and focus time on apps assuming that my 640 is the best i can do !
Not sure if its a pointless exercise but here's my plan:
- Buy and run thru' the Math challenges. (waste of money , IMO, since my scaled Q-score is still a 35 !)
- Complete the OG SC questions.
Am thinking of giving my GMAT by Nov-end so any advice would be greatly appreciated ...

From what I hear, Kaplan CAT is garbage. Don't think too much about the score.
I don't know what to say about Quant, because it's hard to give advice if it's your strong area.
But for Verbal, I can agree that doing all the OG SC questions will definitely improve your SC skills. A lot of people who have improved their SC dramatically suggest the SC1000, which I am working on now. I'd suggest giving that a look, too.

Kaplan Cats are not rep. of ur overal score do them but try to do mgmat as well and delight urself.
