I don't have any information about it, but judging from my own score, I would doubt it. For example, if I was compared to just others in my country, I probably would've expected my scores to be more balanced, especially given that I was an engineering major. My Q % was 87, while my verbal was 95, which seems like really good quant scores are skewing it. We obviously have many spanish speaking countries in North America, but I wouldn't really expect the average Mexican to be a quant jock either.
I think you'd see a better distribution for verbal in non-english speaking countries as well, but it seems like they're mostly at the extremes - bad or pretty good.
Maybe I'm just crabby that I didn't break 90% in quant
