Hey guys -

New here. I need some opinions. I'm scheduled to take the GMAT next Thursday. I took my first cold, practice exam today and I scored a 650 (43-Q; 37-V). I missed all of the geometry questions in the Quantitative section and most of the incorrect questions were data sufficiency ones. I missed 13 questions in the Verbal section. 10 of those 13 were sentence correction questions.

I plan on going through the "Powerscore: Sentence Correction Bible" and Kaplan Math Book over the next week along with a full-length exams and tons of questions.

Am I deluding myself or would it be possible to raise my score to around a 700 with an extensive week of studying based on my deficiencies?

Thanks!

What's the source of the practice exam? Anything is possible. Yes, you can get a 700.

It was one of the practice exams from the GMAT Prep software. I hear that they are a little easier than the actual GMAT. Thanks for the vote of confidence, haha. I hope I can reach 700. It's just hard to quantify what difference it would have made in more score if I would have correctly answered half of the geometry and sentence correction questions that I missed.

The gmatclub open book will undoubtedly be a great source. I'd also recommend searching this site and others for a listing of basic geometry formulas given that you have a week to review the content. Also, be cool in reviewing. Absorb what you can and trust that all will go well. :)
