Hey folks,
I am planning to write my GMAT in summer (2010) ...
I have done a fair bit of research on the books recommended by people in this forum for GMAT prep. and what attributes each book comes with.
I have outlined the following books for my prep - I need your advice if they are sufficient enough or if i should get rid of some books.
Some background - I am average in math skills... in fact i see myself weak in math to be honest... i think ill be more comfortable if i start with the basics up... hence my selection includes books that cover basic strategies ...

Official Guide for GMAT Review
Math:
Math Review for Standardized Tests (Cliff Test Prep)
Manhattan GMAT (MGMAT) Guides - all of them
Official Guide for GMAT Review
Verbal:
The PowerScore GMAT Critical Reasoning Bible
Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction
Manhattan GMAT Reading Comprehension
Official Guide for Verbal Review

Any help and feedback will be really appreciated ...

Hey Frizbee,
I am very weak in math and I have used Kaplan Math workbook and Kaplan's general GMAT book 2009. Unlike you, I just ordered the books before discovering GMATclub. I must say that they explain things well. You shouldn't buy the math book for explanations though, because it is exactly the same as in Kaplan's general GMAT book 2009. Nonetheless, it has lots of exercises (basic, intermediate and advanced) that really help you grasp certain concepts and understand pitfalls. But they don't cover all math concepts, almost no probabilities and functions.
I just discovered the GMATprep software that you can download for free on www.mba.com I found it very useful, aside from 2 CAT tests, they touch all math concepts and have practice questions for every problem type on the GMAT.
Although I really brushed up my math knowledge, I still have issues with applying this knowledge to the problems.
I hope this information is useful in one way or another :D

I will defintiliy look into the GMAT prep software ...
About the Kaplan Math Workbook - I am aware that they dont touch probability and f(x)s in their books - that is why i choose Manhattan Guides for the Quant section - as from what ive researched, they are the ones that talk about all the concepts from basics up...
Do you feel the books ive chosen are good enough? or i should look into more books ...
My aim is to score 700+ ....
