hi everybody,
I am starting on with gmat preparation and have decided to get a Kaplan GMAT 2010 Premier live online book, Kaplan GMAT Math workbook and Kaplan GMAT verbal workboook.My friends already have the OG so I can borrow it from them.My doubt is if the Kaplan GMAT 2010 Premier live online book and OG alone is enough for preparation or do I need the Kaplan math and verbal workbooks?Would the questions listed in Kaplan GMAT 2010 Premier live online book be repeated in Kaplan math and verbal pr would the kaplan math and verbal provide an extra edge?Can anyone please help me on this?

It totally depends on your current level of preparation. If you are good at Maths you might not even need to get Kaplan Math workbook. Instead I would suggest to invest your money in buying OG12. It is always a good idea to have your own books so that you can plan your study schedule well.
I also suggest you to buy "Manhattan Sentence correction" instead of Kaplan Verbal book. Sentence correction is the main portion of Verbal where you want to ace. "The PowerScore GMAT Critical Reasoning Bible" is a better book for CR (Although I personally did not use it) if you need to hone your CR skills. Kaplan 2010 premier program can be used as a starter book.
In additional to the books, use the resources available @ GMATClub, especially the GMAT Math Book: https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-math-book-87417.html
You want to start solving problems from OG Once you build your basic skills from the above mentioned books. If you need additional practice you can always buy Quant and Verbal supplements (Although not a must to have)

It might be unnecessary for you to get the Kaplan Premier book if you're going to get the two workbooks. I've read around that there is just too much overlap (content as well as practice questions).
Like lalitharamesh, I would also recommend the MGMAT Sentence Correction guide. The guide is not only useful for getting familiar with the SC portion of the exam but also resourceful as the guide provides online access to 6 CAT exams, which are arguably regarded as the best indicator of performance next to GMATprep.
I would suggest that you first pickup the SC guide and take a stab at one of MGMAT's CAT exams to see how you fare on the exam. Take note of your strengths and weaknesses, look for any gaps in your foundational knowledge, and develop a study plan that supplements or attends to these things.
Ultimately, the answer to your questions rests on knowing: what level you're at now and what level you need to reach.
