Hi everyone,
I just found this site today and have spent quite a bit of time looking around. I've been studying for the GMAT for the last month or so (targeting to take the test in June) using the Official Guides and a somewhat old Kaplan book. I found this site because I'm contemplating taking a prep course and was looking for reviews. From what I've read, it doesn't seem like a Kaplan course will be a good fit (my fear is instructor and student quality won't be up to par), so I am now leaning towards doing an online prep course (none of the other course providers have in-person courses that fit my work schedule).
My thinking right now is to buy the
Manhattan GMAT 8 book set from Amazon and then take the Knewton online course. Does this sound like a good plan? Is Knewton better than the in-person Kaplan Advanced class? I contemplated just taking the
Manhattan GMAT online class, but it sounds like the real value of that class is reading through the books. My logic is that I can just read through the books on my own (I tend to study best this way anyway) and then take the extra money to get Knewton's spin on instruction as well.
Any input at all would be appreciated. I think at a minimum I will get the
MGMAT books for self study (whether I buy them from Amazon or get them in the
MGMAT online class), and I would like to supplement that with some form of instructor-led course.
Thanks.
