Just got done taking GMATprep CAT #2, and copied and pasted all the quant questions I received in a word document. Can I post this or does this violate and GMAC or Pearson Copyright rules? Please let me know.

as far as I know, it would voilate copyright laws. In Manhattan forums one cannot even discuss GMATPrep questions.

BB, I would want to do it so that people can see and practice 37 quant questions that they may not have seen in their GMATprep Test. I thought it might be useful for people to see more official questions from the makers of the test. If it is a copyright violation I will not post. Also bigoyal, I thought that it was the OG questions that Manhattan was not allowed to discuss in its forums. I may be mistaken on this though

Do not post it.

If you have an individual question you would like to discuss, you can post the individual question in the correct forum. The GMAC has stated, assuming everyone has access/owns the product, the GMAC has no issues with discussing questions. Since GMATPrep is available for free, discussing individual questions is fine.

Posting entire question sets is not. Do not post the document.

yes, I guess you are right about the OG thing.

Anyway, I was just reading the GMATPrep copyright notice, and here is what it says:

§ 107. Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use

Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include—
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

I think our site is promotion of GMAC Books and other materials
So, posting a few questions for discussion or comments - ok, but all questions - no.
