I gave diagnostic of knewton and got 19 incorrect in verbal with V25 :)
You got 37 with 16. Great :-D

I got 4 consecutive wrong answers two times:) That could be the reason.

well, having gone through the results in more detail now- I have done a lot of 700-800 questions correct but still it doesn't make full sense... How does this mechanism work anyway? I think I should ask this to the guys at MGMAT, the whole thing seems questionable...

Since I am so new at these things (and at MGMAT) I don't just get it.

I also had a strange MGMAT experience today - I have never scored below 93% on Verbal on any of my practice tests (5 knewton and 4 MGMAT CATS) and today I scored a measely 77% on a CAT - very worrying as Verbal was the only thing keeping me above 650.

I tried working out what questions I got wrong at what difficulty level and couldn't really understand the percentile jumps that MGMAT shows, for correct questions, even in the 700-800 level it only went up 1 ppt and for wrong questions it jumped down up to 25 ppts! no joke! so I just have to dismiss todays exam as a strange occurence of nature and hope that it doesn't mean i'm losing my touch!

this is due to the difficulty of the question you got wrong on. I had times where i got 2 wrong on math and end up with 47 while 14 wrong got me same score. Bottom line - dont worry about how they grade you just try to get every single one right!

Yeh, I got a similar score for the Q section as well. Took my first mgmat cat test just to see what range I would be at. This was with only going through 3 of the 5 quant books. I only attempted the Q section b/c I haven't even started on the verbal.

Quantitative 42, 66 % (17 wrong)
Verbal 4, 0 %
Total 420, 17 %
