Hello all,
After being on and off GMAT studying for a variety of reasons, I am 5 weeks away from test day. I feel overwhelmed to say the least. I will go through a breakdown of what I've done so far and what I plan to do in the next 5 weeks. The good news is I have pretty much a full 5 weeks (no work and very little other commitments from now until then).
What I've done so far:

Now, I plan to do approximately 40-50 hours a week of studying for 5 weeks. I am not sure how realistic that is. I also have a few Kaplan books which I first bought when I didn't know much about the gmat process (heard bad reviews) but I do have access to monthly quizzes, 5 or 6 CATs and Kaplan GMAT advanced book.
Some other things I'd like to mention:
I apologize for being a bit all over the place. My GMAT studying almost became impossible from when I first posted here due to work demands and me not wanting to mix work and studying.
If it's easier, just private message me. I'd appreciate any advice from those with vast experience.

- 1. completed MGMAT foundations of GMAT Math book
2. purchased the MGMAT guided self-study prep plus program and have completed lectures 1 to 4 (exception of quant OG problems and 2 labs which should be completed shortly)
3. purchased all 8 MGMAT books, MGMAT OG companion and all 3 OGs (12th, verbal and quant)
What I plan on doing:
- 1. complete the guided self-study prep program (lectures 5 to 9 --> includes reading chapters and in actions problems)
2. complete OG problems as suggested from MGMAT
3. complete all MGMAT labs
4. do all 6 MGMAT CATs (have not done one yet)
5. do GMAT prep 1 and GMAT prep 2 tests

- I am considering doing the Master GMAT crash course as I read up about it and it seems to focus on your strengths and weaknesses. Not sure if I will have time to do this but it sounds pretty interesting. I am going to try the 1 week free trial next week and see how I like it.
I have heard different opinions about the Advanced Chapters in the MGMAT books. Does anyone know how I should approach these? I have not looked at them yet. I do know there are more OG questions linked to these advanced chapters. I was thinking of at least reading these chapters, taking important notes and go straight to the OG (possibly skipping the IN ACTION problem sets)

Believe it or not, I feel I don't have enough time to hit the score that I want (650+) on the actual GMAT with all this time. If I had 8 or 10 weeks like that, then I'd feel much more confident. It is what it is though and hopefully it will work out.
So based on what you just wrote, are you suggesting the following:
For each MGMAT quant book:
- Do Part 1: basic: read the chapter and then do the in-action problems. Should I feel comfortable with that then:
- Do Part 2: advanced: read the advanced chapter and then do the in-action problems.
Once those are done, then I should move on to the OG problems (basic and advanced as set out by MGMAT)
If that's what you meant, it sounds like a nice plan. The only thing that concerns me is I'm leaving a lot of the OG questions closer to the end of my studying (but it does save them). Let me know

5 weeks with no work is definitely enough time and you're lucky to have that. I had 4 weeks off and actually rescheduled my test to the end of the 3rd week cuz I almost burned out! Make sure you cherish these hard to come by few weeks and study to the maximum of your capacity. I studied 8+ hours a day including weekends and didn't go out for the whole 3 weeks (pretty much put my social life on hold and "locked" myself in a room). It definitely pays off and if 4 weeks go by and you don't feel like you made much progress you'll feel so much regret. So make the most of those days!
For MGMAT, I wasn't a big fan of the end of chapter questions so I didn't do any - but the online question banks that come with each book is very helpful.
