Hi there,
According to the CAT algorithm, the first 10 or so questions count more towards your score than the rest, or so I heard/learned
My question is, by how much more ? I mean if you get the first 10 questions right can you afford to guess everything else ? I know its probably not this much of a difference, otherwise people will spend all the time on the first 10 questions to get them %100 and guess everything else, which isn't what happens
So its probably somewhere between that extreme and the other extreme, where every question is weighted equally, which is also not the case
The reasons I ask are :
1- To know how to time myselfWhat's a recommended timing strategy ? I am working on developing my own but haven't yet done enough practice exams to build a meaningful one. I saw one once which was interesting but forgot where, it was something like :
1-10 Minute 25
11-20 Minute 45
21-30 Minute 65
31-37 Minute 75
2- What if you get a question around a topic which you happen to be weak in, does the CAT account for that as well ?Thanks a lot for your advice and suggestions
