I have both CR books as well. (I also have both SC books from the providers)

The following is solely based on my personal experience:

Powerscore CR is a bit more comprehensive in terms of detailing out all the types of questions and the techniques used to tackle each. MGMAT CR, however, has a good discussion about T-diagramming (if you think this style works for you). I, for one, don't like writing things down for CR and RC questions, so this strategy doesn't work well for me.

MGMAT SC > Powerscore SC because of similiar reasons described above. I think MGMAT SC does a better job being extremely thorough -- it can work for or against you (as what the prior post had indicated). I think it's always nice to have something VERY comprehensive so you at least have a source to refer to.

hope that helps

The consensus is that Powerscore CR is the best on the market. I used it and was very, very pleased. The CR guide is directly based off of the company's Powerscore LR Bible, which covers the same topics and a few additional ones for the LSAT. The chapters that both of these books share in common are EXACTLY the same. In other words, the book is LSAT quality, but trimmed down to specifically cater to the needs of GMAT test takers.

And, as you can see from previous replies, members have endorsed the Manhattan SC guide. There is a reason that these two books are always mentioned together and always enthusiastically recommended. Buy both of them as soon as possible! You won't regret it. :)

Both are pretty close; definitely don't buy both.
PowerScore is an LSAT company gone GMAT, so they "naturally" should have a stronger CR book but not by far.

Remember that with MGMAT CR (if you don't have any other books), you get the online MGMAT tests.

I have used both and I for me MGMAT CR is better, apart from the T diagraming technique that did not like.. In my opinion PowerSocre is too much detailed whereas MGMAT CR goes straight to the point.
