anybody know anything of this program? Would a 500 cut it? Is this program competitive?

With Santa Clara a mere 3 miles away, I'd go for that. SJSU has a reputation of a rubber stamp facility. The degree at Santa Clara will take you further, and has a strong IT focus (if that is your slant)
