I am in a fix....People please share your thoughts on this......

What is the adcom looking for, if in the first question they ask about short/long term goals and motivation behind it(fair enough)......

On the other hand, in the next question...they want to know what would I do for a living, if all my living expenses and salary were covered....how would I spend my time????

Any thoughts on this.....
Obviously, I can't say that my future goals is centered around a marketing role....but if given a chance I would play music and travell around the world......I mean this would be ridiculous....what do you say?

Waiting for responses......
I think you are on the right path...if you say you want to do marketing when your living expenses are taken care of, adcom won't buy that. Most of us, will travel the world, volunteer, play music, play sports....go for it!

I think you need to make it realistic but at the same time tie it to how you're trying to present yourself. You should come up with something that ties your career interests in a way that is realistic e.g. personally I would write about wanting to travel around developing countries in Asia and South America and doing microfinance work in these places - a good way to combine my interests in finance, travelling, interacting with other cultures, and helping people

Yes I agree...the themes in your goals essay and in "passion" essay should be similar.

Thanks everyone!!!!

FYI
Staind, I am thinking on similar lines
Very well said.......that it should reflect although not completely but some connection to my future goals and interest...

while traveling to office this morning I purposely left my i-pod at home.....was trying to get the train of thought running...and that's what I came up with.....

cool....
