Thanks. They gave two refereces which are confusing me.

One is two academic years
I applied within two academics years. yes. I am a reapp.
and the other is two years.
I applied in October 2008. Thats not past two years. am I not reapp?


I hear what you're saying... the first reference they make is to "academic years", so I would then interpret the next use of "years" to mean the same thing. If they wanted to change the definition they could have said "calendar years" or whatever. Or, maybe it was just sloppy writing.

Either way, your best bet is to email or call Booth and ask them.

If you've got a good story to tell, I'd be tempted to write the essay anyway and use the optional essay to explain the confusion. You could turn the whole thing into a good way of demonstrating how you cope with ambiguous circumstances (a quality Booth looks for in its applicants).
