Hi everyone! Is there any current international MBAs out there who has been able to nail some loans without US resident co-signers? Or anyone know of a place that certainly works out well?..
I have been researching around and there seem to be some options available yet I'm looking for some real deal that has gone through previously- PM me if you like... thanks a lot in advance-

Well, yes- so do Duke, UNC, Simon and most probably a couple of other schools as well. Yet, I'm looking around for banks or other lending institutions within the US who can give loans to int. students w/o a co-signer.

Good luck. I'm an international applicant too, and the only schemes I've found are tied to specific schools, as has already been mentioned.

At the end of the day, it would be an enormous risk for a financial institution to give a loan to an international student, especially if they front the full $160k. They may not have the means to check your credit history, and recovery costs for a default from an overseas student would be very high.

A few schools will offer their own, linked, schemes, and I expect this is because of the close relationship between the financial institution and the school reducing the risk of default (or because the school is willing to subsidise the cost).
