Hi,
I am planning to apply to B schools this year and hope to start studying next yr. Currently based in Melbourne, I am planning to apply to international B schools. How do I ask my current employers for a recommendation without telling them that I intend on pursuing a full time MBA overseas instead of part time study in Melbourne itself?Can i possibly say I might look at distance study??

if you cant be open about your plans, then dont ask your direct manager. take an indirect supervisor / friend into confidence and ask him / her for a rec...
no point saying distance study. they will eventually have to submit the rec's online, and it will be very evident that you are applying to full time programs
