Thanks a lot ebonn101 for your answer..Exactly I am an older applicant (exactly 30) with a MSc in Pharma and in Management...I think the danger of falling into this perception in minimal given that the degrees shows my intention to combine two different areas (Science and Business). The more obvious question would be "since you have a MSc in Management, why do you want an MBA". In addition, I have pretty clear goals for the future, i.e. work in the pharma industry in certain functions. I think I will be able to make my point for this..
However, I really agree with your point; although my profile is not very usual, I need to improve my GMAT score in order to be competitive for Wharton/Hass/Kellogg or Tuck. Therefore, I am thinking of retaking the GMAT in two months after I have made some progress with the essays (the ideal scenario would be to have the GMAT squared off but unfortunately it did not happen).
As for my profile:
Background: small EU country
Education: MPharm:7/10, MSc Management: Distinction
Experience: in total 7 years of experience in the Army and now in a major consulting firm with good career progression (2 promotions in less than 2 years), good international experience having lived in 4 countries
