I think the best strategy is to start working on the interview question, compile typical answers to typical questions..
And then customize the list for every school once the invitations come in.

I submitted my last app on 7 October and am still struggling with myself to start preparing for the interviews. The essays have completely exhausted me..

I know how you feel, its hard to throttle down MBA application mode from 110% to 0%. I'm polishing up my MIT Sloan application, but that is pretty much done and its my last app to do. After that, I guess I'll be "forced" to do nothing B-school wise for a couple weeks at least until interviews hopefully start coming in. Every time I reach a milestone in this process I tell myself, whew, the worst is over. But having completed applications I'm now realizing how much prep goes into interviews, and waiting in uncertainty will be really stressful. Man, this doesn't get any easier until you get an acceptance does it?

Sounds like a plan..BTW on which part, of your application, you worked on this year compared to last??

rgupta83
Being a re-applicant this year, the one thing I learned from last year is that it is hard to pick-up again for R2 if you dial it down to much. I would use the free time to get back into a life grind and re-connect with friends. But I would also use the large gap to start on R2 essays. The way I look at it, if i get it to an R1 school and do not have to submit, I wasted a few hours maybe only on weekends working on essays. If i do not get into a R1 school or the decision is released after R2 deadlines I won't have to go into as much of a crunch as I did with R1 as I spend this time working on my apps. Just my two cents.

I applied last year and did not get in. So I am re-applying to some schools this year, and applying to net new schools as well.
