Hi friends,
July this year I appeared for the GMAT for the first time and scored a 550 (Q-45, V-21). I decided to re-take the test to give myself another chance of improving my score. I concentrated on the verbal section completely for over 2 months. I was quite clear with the concepts but when taking the mocks, I struggled answering the questions correctly with the time constraints and at times couldn't attempt the last 2-3 questions. I just couldn't find a way to push my verbal score over 29. I was always scoring in the 27-29 range, getting around 20-21 questions correct out of 41. As the R-2 deadlines were approaching, I went on to take the test again (couple of days back). The result was not too different. Scored a 580 (Q-49,V-22) this time. I thought I did well on the Verbal but the result was quite surprising.
I would have been happy with an overall score of 630-640 but couldn't make it. Don't have the will to take the test again, wait for an year and then apply.
How bad is this score of 580? Can I apply with this score and get into a decent college? I want to go for an MBA in entrepreneurship.
I will have 3 years of work experience by July,14. Please suggest me in taking the next step folks.
Regards,
Shreejit
