GMAT for non-natives and non-engineers...

Question

Folks,
can we ever start looking for something useful for aspirants who seems to be pretty much neglected in this forum.. as just coz they are not a quant jockey.. or not engineers..
lets began with quant suggestions for those who are not from hard core math background but still aspire for 50 in gmat maths

lets see if we can get enough views and reply for non-math background gmat aspirants.. between the two books- total gmat math by jeff and kaplan gmat math workbook.. which one should opt for keeping in consideration that mgmat guides and og will be doing afterwards. to remove the rust of non-maths essence which book people and expert recommend?

The vast majority of people here aren't quant jocks or engineers. The quant section of the GMAT is all at a high school level - it's really just a matter of studying a ton to get a high score.

Honestly there's little to be gained from starting with an "easier" company test material. Manhattan GMAT has lower level questions, and will explain things better than Kaplan, so there's little reason to use kaplan or total gmat.

What all I have been reading mostly about Indians taking gmat is that mostly are from IIT's and still waiting to hear from some commerce and art grads. mgmat has low level of question, not much use of kaplan and total gmat. then which one to opt for. here the motive is to get a good grip over basics and concepts. the amount of good questions can be gained from gmatclub tests and mgmat tests.

GMAT is not a test that benefits people coming from technology background. It tests the logical thinking of a person. Don't satisfy yourself thinking that this test benefits only engineers. That isn't a good reason to score low.

Thanks for the reply. but post reading mgmat guides the basic concepts of most commerce grads couldn't be sorted out yet. may be its coz of a bit low logical usage as compared to engineers. I am not giving an excuse to score low on gmat because of non-math grads.. but I want to eradicate that eXcuse and boost confidence amongst all non math gmat takers. after a long research I came out with three books for non maths grads for scoring 48+ in gmat maths.. namely kaplan gmat math workboob, kaplan math foundation and total gmat math. its but obvious after any of these books one has to go for mgmat,gmatclub tets, and og and gmat prep mocks.
reviews about these three booms awaited keeping in mind that this i first step to get good concepts clarity.
