Hello everybody,
I am new here on the forum and I would like to hear some opinions about my situation. I graduated from a very decent secondary school in the Netherlands (being their youngest student graduating ever) with only 16 years. I then came to Spain to learn Spanish and this month (I am now 21 years old) I am graduating from a 240 ECTS Business Management Bachelor in Spanish at one of the best public universities in Spain.
My GPA is really average (about 66/100), especially because at the beginning it was quite difficult for me to catch up with the Spanish.. the last two years my GPA is significantly better.
I took the GMAT without any preparation (3 hours...) and obtained 650 (Q45/V35). This score was more or less what I aimed for because I decided to apply for a MSc in Financial Economics at Maastricht School of Business & Economics where 650 is the lowest 'direct admission' score.
However, now fluent in Dutch, Spanish and English, my next goal is to learn German and therefore I applied for a MSc in International Economics & Finance in Magdeburg (Germany). Moreover, I am planning to apply for a MSc in Economics (espec. Int. Finance) at Ruhr University Bochum (Germany) and for the MSc in Finance & Banking at Innsbruck School of Management (Univ. of Innsbruck, Austria). This last one is my preferred option.
I know none of these is among the best business schools of Europe, but I need to be realistic with my low GPA.
I also - for personal reasons - applied at the Nijmegen University (in the Netherlands) and I am already conditionally (still need TOEFL or IELTS) admitted to the MSc in Financial Economics.
Concerning my work experience: I have been working at a Marketing Consultancy company for three months now... and well, for the rest I've had loads of small part-time jobs, just to earn some extra money.
If there is anyone able to tell me more about these universities and/or masters, my admission possibilities, or just wants to recommend me some other option, I will be very grateful!
PD: I am not specifically looking for an MBA program because I am afraid of repeating many subjects from my bachelor and would like to specialise in Financial Management / Risk Management / Asset Pricing...
Thanks in advance!
